Low Man – Low Man

Low Man – Low Man
Self released – 2012
Rock, Punk, Stoner
Rated: ****

Pittsburgh, one of those cities that is criminally overlooked by anyone not born in the United States. But we can safely say that a similar fate will not be bestowed upon the four that form Low Man. Cause on their self-titled EP they display an animalistic, raw and gritty sound that swaggers full force and full speed through your veins. And it has that perfect paradox of music that sounds simple and concrete but actually contains so many extra subtleties it dizzies and bewilders. It’s punky, it’s visceral and it exhumes a dry heat floating on choppy riffs and psyched out guitar-lines. Variation is key and the guys know exactly when to start twisting things up just as you are starting to sink deep into the Low Man sound. Beware of God’s Lonely Man though; it might make yer speakers crackle, pop and die a loud sounding but slow and horrible death...

  1. Exactly, that noise ending track isn’t exactly my cup of tea. The other ones are however! Tea with a awesome kick!
